What is BARCC?

The Bronzeville Area Residents and Commerce Council- BARCC is a not-for-profit community organization serving homeowners, condominium owners, renters and commercial enterprises in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood.

What is the MISSION of BARCC?

Our mission is to seek volunteers and leaders to help us create a safe, clean and enjoyable neighborhood for families to live and businesses to strive..

What area does BARCC serve?

We cover the residential and commercial interests of all shareholders and stakeholders within the boundaries of S. 22nd Street to 55th Street and S. Cottage Grove to the Dan Ryan Expressway.

What are the most important priorities?

We intend to establish a voice for investors and to accelerate home ownership and commercial development, while making an impact on safer and cleaner streets. We organize forums to educate condominium owners, a group critical to the economic growth of the neighborhood. As activists, we are committed to holding public officials and representatives accountable for measurable results.

Where are meetings held?

General meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month at the Chicago Urban League - 4510 S Michigan Avenue from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. Food and refreshments are served and there are opportunities to sign up for various committees.
