Mell Monroe is SVP-Practice Leader for Technology Markets with Coffou Partners, a national executive search firm. In addition to search consulting, Mell has over 25 years of combined corporate, entrepreneurial and community organizing experience. Previously Mell was the Principal Owner of Execusearch and a business development specialist for General Electric, Mobil Chemical and subsidiaries of Johnson & Johnson and Coca-Cola Corporation.
He is the founder of BARCC- Bronzeville Area Residents and Commerce Council and also GSLA- Greater South Loop Association. He is the creator of the Annual Historic Bronzeville Bike Tour and selected as community leader for the Chicago Public Schools Renaissance 2010. Mell represented the near south side communities for the Transformation Committee for Grant Park 2020. Mell and his wife, Angela- Higginbotham- Monroe, are owners of a vintage home in historic Bronzeville.
Additionally, Mell is on the board of directors for the Black Metropolis National Heritage Area Commission, and he possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Rider University.
